I started my career obsessed with writing the perfect algorithm. But I quickly learned that in the real world, clean code doesn't matter if it solves the wrong problem.

Over time my focus shifted from just building features tothe messier problems around them:the communication gaps between teams, the friction on the shop floor, the distance between strategy and what actually ships.

These days I tend to work across the whole picture, from early whiteboard sketches to thesystems and processesthat keep things running day to day. I like the problems that sit between the code and the business, where the answer isn't obvious yet.
